Your Eyes May Deceive You, Don't Trust Them

There's this one part in Star Wars Episode IV where Luke is training with Obi-Wan and he's learning how to use a light saber. At one point in the training, Obi-Wan places a helmet on Luke and puts the blast shield down so Luke can't see anything. Luke then whines that he can't see and blah, blah, blah. Obi-Wan retorts with his famous line "your eyes may deceive you, don't trust them".

Many times in life we judge books by their covers and we find out that we're sorely mistaken. I stumbled across this clip from another blog, but talk about judging a book by its cover! Well, I won't reveal any more. Just watch the clip (it's a little over 7 minutes long, but it's worth it).

I can't embed it so you'll have to click here to watch it.

PS-if your eyes don't start sweating at some point then you have no heart :)

I don't know why it was so shocking...but i do love the music from les miserable and I thought the editing was great. Very Disney movie-like. Simon, he's still my fave.

I so agree with you Scott. It's crazy how we can get so caught up in our perceptions and never take the time to look farther then the first look. Or at least I know I can be like that.

nice call on the not judging a book by its cover, very similar to a honadv blog, just saying! I must not have a heart, she was good, but getting sweaty eyed over it, nah!

why does everyone think she looks weird? I think she looks like the average gal, with the more than average voice! It would be a man who thought this =)
